On the EveHQ package, the buttons to manage your skill queues, i.e. Edit Queue, Delete Queue, Set as Primary, were not working. I installed winetrick comctl32 and it fixed it for me.
So happy that EveHQ will run under Wine now, but it will probably be short lived. Once 2.0 comes out, and they make the full switch to SQL for the database, I doubt we will be able to get it to run. Fingers crossed, though. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

There is an easy fix for the EFT fit import problem. I'm on my phone and not staring at my Mac, so I'll throw it up here when I get home. Basically, you need to configure the prefix to go to the right folder for my documents. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

First, remember that Wine Is Not an Emulator!
It is a program that allows you to run certain types of Windows software on Unix based systems, like Linux and Mac OS X with intel chips (OS X is based off FreeBSD)

According to Codeweavers, EVEMon only gets a Bronze Medal, meaning it will run, barely. It used to not run at all because they put code in their app that prevents a lot of the .NET stuff(a technical term) from functioning properly.
I would recommend going with the bottled versions that you can run in Wine. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

It's a little funky how you do it, but right click does work.
You need to first select the skill in the window, then right click on the top bar (Where it shows "Skill Name", "Training Time", et al).
See pic for a visual representation.

Originally by: Emb3r Genus Anyone get right click or price updating to work with EFT?
with EFT, left click on the module, right click anywhere off the module, either blank space or on the stats, then right click on the module again.
price updating should work ok without doing anything special. just make sure you close the info window after updating price, then reopen it. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

Originally by: Servant Raven Hey, has anyone tried to run Planetary Interaction Tool (http://sites.google.com/site/eveplanetaryplanner/home) on mac? Can it be done?
yes, it works just fine. I wasn't even aware of the existence of this program, very nice.
open winebottler, create new prefix, create from copy is in the drop down where it says "new prefix" select your prefix for EVEMon, no need to go through everything creating a new. Select the downloaded file at the top, and check the box that says "copy only".
Let winebottler do its thing. When it is done, launch EVEPlanetaryPlanner. After it is up and running, open Finder, navigate to
~/Library/Application Support/Wine/prefixes/EVEPlanetaryPlanner/drive_c/winebottler
and drop the PlantaryInteraction.xml file there.
Close and relaunch and you should be good to go. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

I have some sad news about EVEMon through Wine.
Yesterday, I downloaded the latest snapshot and dropped it into my install folder.
When I launched, I received this popup:
It looks like, until Wine moves up to using .net 4.0, we are SOL.
Unless someone knows how to get the installer for .net 4.0 to actually work. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |
